The purpose of the role is to support the Head of Tax (HoT) oversee the UK and international tax affairs of the group. The Manager will work in a senior capacity with the HoT to oversee all aspects of the group's global tax compliance. The role will involve ownership and responsibility for managing the internal tax compliance team and relationships with internal business partners and outsourced providers to achieve the company and team's objectives.

An active investment management firm focused on delivering performance and client solutions through its investment management businesses, providing long-only, alternative and private markets products on a single and multi-manager basis, leveraging the firm's robust infrastructure to provide a diverse range of strategies across investment approaches, styles and asset classes.

Specific responsibilities
Corporate Tax
* Manage the statutory tax returns and accounting provisions of the Group and all of its entities in relation to corporate tax, VAT, remuneration related taxes and the partnerships embedded within the group
* Manage the design, implementation and on-going maintenance of Corporation Tax reporting and compliance process
* Manage the group tax control environment, including oversight of the Senior Accounting Officer process (supporting the Group Risk team), Financial Control Framework and the Risk Control Self-Assessment for the tax department
* Support HoT work with Finance to design and deliver robust group tax rate forecasting model and supporting analysis
* Support HoT develop and deliver information for senior management
* Manage relationship with accounting teams and outsource providers to ensure support and delivery of information to and from them is done in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
* Advise the business on the tax impact of any changes in the business
* Support and work with the HoT to monitor regulatory change globally and consider the impact on the Group and manage any communication to senior management and manage any change programme required to maintain the Group's international tax compliance obligations
* Manage communications with HMRC in the UK

Transfer pricing (TP):
* Manage the on-going TP obligations of the group
* Support the business in understanding the internal pricing implications of any business changes, and oversee the implementation of any changes in line with the group TP policy guidelines

Team management:
* Manage, motivate and develop the Tax team in line with the company's objectives and standards
* Work with the HoT to plan and structure the Tax Department's work schedule and resourcing requirements

Technical competencies
* Qualified CTA/ACA/ACCA
* Significant proven experience managing tax compliance processes
* Excellent knowledge of: IFRS tax reporting; UK corporation tax; tax issues across an international group
* Extensive experience of delivering tax reporting for UK PLC
* Experience of managing compliance teams, managing service provider relationships and M&A transactions within an international group
* Ability to manage a team, working with them to achieve both the Group's and their personal career objectives
* Aptitude to understand new tax legislation and apply it practically to support the Tax Team achieve the Group's objectives
