Their US Corporate Tax team has a diverse client base and our purpose is to help businesses manage cross border investments into and from the Asia Pacific region.
Responsibilities
В• Provide US tax advice to clients, in a range of industries and locations
В• Manage, direct, monitor, and deliver multiple client engagements
В• Help identify additional areas of service to offer the client
В• Maintain active communication with clients and with internal team members to manage expectations and help ensure client satisfaction
В• Research, write, and review US domestic and international tax matters
В• Manage certain US tax compliance projects
В• Formulate and deliver possible tax planning and tax savings services
В• Work closely with team members in the US, PRC, and HK
В• Aid in the development and training of team members
В• Some amount of travel may be required
Experience
В• US Certified Public Accountant or licensed Attorney at Law
В• BachelorВ’s Degree in Accounting; MS in Taxation or J.D. with taxation LLM preferred
В• Minimum of 5 years of US tax experience in a professional services practice
В• Background should include work in corporate and partnership tax compliance and tax advisory services
В• Understanding of US tax accounting issues (FAS109, FIN48)
В• Chinese skills is highly preferable
В• Good English communication skills (Written and Oral)
В• Willingness to be flexible: work will involve some tax compliance, tax advisory work, and project management
В• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
В• Strong communication skills, and the ability to explain complex issues clearly to non-experts, who will often be communicating in a second language
