Global Tax Recruitment are working with their client based in the Middle East to recruit an experienced Tax Partner or Director. The purpose of the role will be to raise the profile of the Tax Division in the market to assist with making it the firm of choice for both tax advisory and tax compliance work in a very competitive market place. Build the strong local client relationships with clients, Deliver strong growth in revenue and in client penetration. Work closely with the Firms tax teams in the region and globally; and work closely with corporate finance and transaction services teams (locally and abroad), to ensure effective joined up delivery of client service on multi-national and multi-disciplinary assignments. Manage the tax team to motivate and encourage them, and develop their skills and experience, both so that they can deliver the kind of proactive, commercial and problem-solving advice that clients expect, and to enable them to develop into advisers at more senior level with a real career path. To do this, it will be essential to work effectively with the existing tax managers, who are already following this agenda.
To be successful for this role you will have extensive experience in one or more major established markets, e.g. North America, Europe or Asia-Pacific, working with large clients (prior Middle East experience is advantageous). You will have experience of delivering advice to demanding clients on tax structuring; tax in M&A and transaction services and tax in relation to financing. Industry experience in oil and gas and/or financial sector would be an advantage. But in practice, will need to be flexible enough to deal with a range of industries, and with areas of tax that might previously have been seen as specialist (eg indirect tax and transfer pricing).
