My client, an integrated midstream and downstream oil company active in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, the Baltics, the Middle East and Asia, are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join their team in Johannesburg.
The ideal candidate will match the following competencies:
• 5-7 years tax experience.
• Previous experience of taxation systems in the African market, specifically including South African market.
• Experience of indirect taxes and import/export exports.
• Previous experience of working in the Energy/Oil and Gas/Mining market with experience of working with downstream oil firms extremely desirable.
• Experience of dealing with tax authorities and reclaiming monies and dealing with senior management.
• Fluency in English is essential with additional language skills in either Portuguese and/or French
This role will be based in Johannesburg and include up to 50% travel around Africa.
