An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Manager for a nine month period.
The role is pro-active and advisory (compliance work is outsourced) supporting the business units directly and HQ functions within the business. The role reports to the European FD as well as the Group Head of Tax. The successful candidate will be part of the European Finance Function and will be working with another member of the groups' tax staff.
You will have strong UK tax knowledge of both corporate and Operational taxes (VAT, CIS, PAYE and NIC) and ideally have experience of working within an in house tax function. You will be confident dealing with European tax jurisdictions, in particular Republic of Ireland and Germany.
Experience in accounting for tax and deferred tax under International GAAP and large group consolidations is also desirable.
Suitable applicants will be a good communicator and personable and able to work unsupervised and juggle a number of tasks and projects. You will be capable of dealing with complex multijurisdictional effects as well as more straightforward tax problems.
ACA and CTA or equivalents an advantage.
