| Description: | This is a fantastic opportunity for a Tax Manager to join this leading accountancy firm in their offices in North London.
You will be responsible for running the firm's mixed tax department and will work in close contact with the partners. You will also work alongside the Financial Services team on planning and advisory issues, particularly IHT.
You will need a sound knowledge of Estate and Trust tax matters, and also be familiar with overseas aspects of UK tax. A reasonable working knowledge of UK corporation tax is required and knowledge of VAT matters will be an advantage, but is not essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Overall management of our tax department, reporting to the tax partner;
* Dealing with complex personal tax cases and Revenue enquiries;
* Management of tax staff;
* Expatriate tax consultancy and compliance;
* Monitoring and organising the flow of self-assessment tax returns;
* Handling a portfolio of personal tax clients;
* Involvement in strategic development of the tax department;
* Advising and meeting clients and potential clients generally;
* Estate and trust tax work;
* Advising on CGT and IHT matters.
