Exceptional Life Tax Projects role, newly created to add value to a leading Life Insurer with a global portfolio. With a strong base and ambitious plans for the business in general the life tax function is looking to expand. The purpose of the newly created role is to add value via the origination and leadership of projects across the life tax area. The role comes with an excellent salary and package.
The role:
-To identify and progress tax saving opportunities
-Leading life tax technical training and development within the UK Life Tax function
-Identification and pro-active management of tax planning risks ands opportunities
-To work with other areas of Finance to improve modelling and forecasting of tax, both from an IFRS and an EEV perspective and develop tax efficient products
-Review, assessment and effective communication of life tax technical change
-To support the UK Life Tax team's senior life tax technical specialist
You will be CA/ CTA qualified or equivalent with substantial UK life tax experience, ideally including corporate transactions. As this role will drive projects not just within tax but across the life tax business you will need to ability to communicate complex tax issues to non-specialists, be driven, a self- starter and a good project manager.
