Newly Created high profile Tax Director job with one of the worlds leading investment banks. Crucial to the challenge and success of the role is to manage and improve the reporting and accounting for group corporate tax issues.
You will be reporting directly into the Head of Tax for the group and you will be responsible for UK and International Tax for Retail and Business Banking. You will be partnering with colleagues across the UK, Western Europe, the US, Africa and Asia to manage risks, support and drive effective resolution of tax issues, ensure compliance, oversee and manage reporting and forecasting and drive the delivery of enhanced value. Furthermore you will be operating as an effective partner of the Groups business in Africa supporting them on all tax issues. Although joining an existing team - you will also be encouraged to hire and further develop staff.
A successful candidate will be a very strong accountant with ACA / CPA / CTA / ACCA / CIMA qualified with a solid commercial perspective along with a very strong working knowledge of the UK and International tax systems. You may already have Banking experience but we are also happy to consider candidates with experience working in global FTSE 100s. You be extremely self-motivated and able to work as a part of a team.
