The Calgary Business Compliance Services practice has opportunities for dynamic individuals to join the team at the Associate level. The Business Compliance Services (BCS) practice provides Canadian corporate income tax compliance services to both our Audit and Assurance and Tax Services groups.

Accountabilities:

As an Associate, you will:
- Be a key member of our team, accountable for completing corporate tax returns and tax compliance documentation, with the support of practice managers and partners;
- Review tax assessments on behalf of our clients;
- Interact with agencies and other offices to gather information and manage enquiries; and
- Develop industry specific knowledge.

Competencies:

- Accounting/bookkeeping training or experience;
- Some knowledge of tax affairs gained via an accounting degree or diploma or exposure to previous accounting or tax work would be an asset;
- An interest in tax compliance;
- An ability to manage high work flows and prioritise work accordingly;
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to contribute within a team environment, interacting successfully with peers, senior staff, and Partners;
- A commitment to providing excellent client service including attention to detail and pride in delivering top quality work;
- Strong analytical ability is critical, with the necessary judgment to ask questions and provide feedback and assessment of issues as they arise; and
- Ability to work independently with appropriate direction.
