n independent media and entertainment company are looking to hire an Assistant Tax manager, will involve assisting on product development projects, providing technical support within the group (principally product related), and responsibility for the group’s products (including monitoring, ad-hoc advice, dealing with HMRC enquiries, and review of returns). In particular the role will involve:
- Assisting in product development
- Monitoring compliance of certain of the group’s products with the tax rules
- Obtaining opinions from Tax Counsel
- Reviewing accounts and tax returns
- Dealing with HMRC enquiries
- Some Involvement in group tax planning
- Working with all departments within the group regarding new trading structures and transactions, and provision of ad hoc technical advice
Suitable candidates are likely to be newly or recently qualified ACA / CTA with experience gained within Commerce / Practice or professional industries.
You must have the ability to deal with complex issues and have excellent problem solving skills.
